Meet Dr. Angela Bergin - Optometrists Near You


Dr. Angela Bergin is a native of Cincinnati, OH. She attended Xavier University with an undergraduate degree in Biology and went on to pursue her professional degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Upon graduation in 2001, Dr. Bergin received clinical honors for advanced patient care during her time at the Hampton, Virginia Veterans Affairs Medical Center and also the Missouri Eye Institute in St. Louis, MO.
Her interests include ocular nutrition and pediatric vision care. Membership organizations include the American Optometric Association, the North Carolina Optometric Society, the South Carolina Optometric Physicians Association, the Optometric Extension Program Foundation for behavioral optometry as well as the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.
Dr. Bergin works hard to stay current on the latest advances in eye health and vision care and regularly attends continuing education seminars and advanced training courses. It is because of Dr. Bergin ‘s dedication to continuing education that our Charlotte patients receive the most modern and progressive vision care available.

Dr. Mishali Patel is a native of Dallas, Texas.
She graduated with distinction from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Studies and went on to receive her Doctorate in Optometry from the University of Houston College of Optometry in Texas.
Dr. Patel professionally trained at Walter Reed National Military Center in Bethesda, Maryland, Cedar Springs Eye Clinic in Dallas, Texas, and a private practice in Houston, Texas. During her training, Dr. Patel received a clinical letter of excellence in Primary Care.
Her interests include ocular disease, dry eye, and specialty scleral lenses. Dr. Patel provides comprehensive primary care for adults and children ages 8 and up. She holds membership in various professional organizations including the American Optometric Association, the North Carolina Optometric Society, and the Piedmont Optometric Society.
Dr. Patel now calls Charlotte her home, and in her free time enjoys traveling, baking, and spending quality time with her family.
